Reflecting the NCAA Division II commitment, VSU Athletic Department seeks to actively engage in shared experiences by bringing the community to campus to experience Division II athletics. A variety of strategies and initiatives have been implemented to ensure that the VSU Athletic Department is an available entity to the individuals and groups it exists to serve.  A portion of those strategies and initiatives are listed below.

Reduced/Complimentary Admissions

• Discounts are provided for home regular season events to:
• Senior Citizens (65+) (single game and season tickets)
• Youth (Ages 5-16) (single game and season tickets)
• VSU Employees (season tickets only)

• Complimentary admissions are provided to home regular season events to:
• Active Duty Military & One (1) Guest
• GISA/GHSA Coaches & One (1) Guest
• VSU Students

Half-time Performances
Does your group want to perform during a game break at a Blazer Athletic Event?  We offer complimentary admissions to performers and their immediate family on dates that your group is in action.  Call the VSU Blazer Ticket Office for more information.

Community Engagement Nights/Events

• Military Appreciation Nights
• Take a Kid to a Game Nights – free admission for youth under 13 with a paying adult
• “Shoot for a Cure” Night – season long culmination of the Lady Blazers Basketball fundraising efforts to benefit the Partnership Cancer Fund of Lowndes County
• “Blazer Build” – Department wide initiative to build a house with Habitat for Humanity in late January
• Relay for Life – promotion during the last home regular season basketball game
• Meet the Blazers – free event for area youth held immediately before the start of each season
